May 14 (UPI) — Tyler Perry’s The Oval Season 7 will officially premiere next week.
Paramount+ said in a press release Thursday that the show’s seventh and final season will debut May 20 at 3 a.m. ET on Paramount+ and at 9 p.m. ET on BET, with new episodes to be released weekly.
The news comes about a month after the entire 22-episode season was mistakenly released and then removed from Paramount+.
The Oval is a political drama starring Ed Quinn and Kron Moore as Hunter and Victoria Franklin, the president and the first lady of the United States. The final season will see the couple return to the White House with “one mission: reclaim their throne.”
“As Hunter and Victoria launch their ‘Make The Franklins Great Again’ campaign amid national crisis and crumbling alliances, they’ll soon discover the greatest threat to their reign has been inside all along,” an official synopsis reads.
The cast also includes Javon Johnson, Ptosha Storey, Daniel Croix Henderson, Lodric Collins, Walter Fauntleroy, Taja V. Simpson, Brad Benedict, Travis Cure, Bill Barrett, Nick Barrotta, Kaye Singleton and Russell Thomas.
The Oval is written by Mark E. Swinton and directed by Armani Ortiz, with Perry as executive producer.
