New York (AFP) – Wall Street stocks added to losses in mid-afternoon trading on Friday as the latest round of tariff threats between the US and China added to fears of a trade war.
Near 1750 GMT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down two percent at 24,004.89.
The broad-based S&P 500 dropped 1.8 percent to 2,616.20, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index shed 1.7 percent to 6,954.66.
