Feb. 5 (UPI) — Universal Studios Hollywood announced Thursday that the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift roller coaster will open this summer. Vin Diesel narrates the trailer.
“You ready?” Diesel says. “Buckle up for the next chapter of Fast & Furious at Universal Studios Hollywood.”
The video shows passengers riding the coaster in muscle cars that drift while propelling forward. The coaster replaces previous theme park attractions, a vehicular stunt show and a 360 degree video screen that the studio tram tour drove through.
The theme park first announced the coaster in 2024 and released a preview video in June. The track was visible under construction during May’s Fan Fest Nights.
In January they announced an Orlando edition opening in 2027.
The studio set the 11th film (not counting Hobbs and Shaw spinoff) for release March 17, 2028.
