June 8 (UPI) — Alex Ovechkin took the Stanley Cup to Hakkasan Nightclub early Friday morning in Las Vegas and partied with Tiesto.

Footage of the celebration made its way to social media following the Washington Capitals’ 4-3 win in Game 5 against the Las Vegas Golden Knights. The victory prompted Washington’s first Stanley Cup in the franchise’s 44-year history.

Ovechkin — who won MVP of the Stanley Cup Playoffs — was in several videos taken after the Capitals made their way from T-Mobile Arena to the Las Vegas Strip. He poured a giant bottle of champagne into the trophy and drank from it. He also held it over his head as he bumped to music mixed by the Dutch DJ.

The Capitals also went to the MGM Grand and ran up a bill of about $100,000, according to TMZ Sports. The Washington Post reported that Capitals players boarded busses from the Mandarin Oriental at about 12:45 a.m. Ovechkin left the celebration at 2:35 a.m., but the party raged on, according to the Post.

Ovechkin was asked after Game 5 if winning the Stanley Cup was like he imagined in his dreams.

“This is even better,” he told reporters. “I think it’s just like a dream. You know, it was hard, long season. We fight through it. We work so hard through all the years. We always together. Was a whole one team sticking to the system. Doesn’t matter what happen, we didn’t panic. Even after the third period, we knew we just have to push it, get result done.”
