May 9 (UPI) — White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was scheduled to give an on-camera press briefing on Wednesday afternoon.
The briefing was set to begin at 3:30 p.m. EDT.
Sanders likely will address President Donald Trump’s announcement earlier Wednesday about North Korea releasing three American prisoners.
She’ll also likely face questions about the Senate confirmation hearing for CIA Director-designate Gina Haspel, payments AT&T made to Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, and a tweet the president made threatening to revoke press credentials from media outlets he deems “fake news.”
Prior to the briefing, Trump held a Cabinet meeting and was scheduled to participate in a military mothers and spouses event. In the evening, he’s attending a dinner with members of Congress.
