Priest to Hold Memorial Service for Babies Killed in Gosnell Clinic

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, has planned a memorial service Wednesday for the deceased infants retrieved from the clinic of Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortionist who is on trial for the murder of a patient and babies born alive during abortion procedures.

Breitbart News previously reported that Pavone had requested the bodies of the babies from the medical examiner in order to provide for them a funeral and burial.

According to LifeNews, Pavone said, “As we await the verdict in the trial of Kermit Gosnell, Priests for Life… will take the step this week of giving names to those babies.”

Pavone said that the memorial service will be available online. He stated he plans to “acknowledge the human dignity and personhood of these children, and bestow names upon them.”

“God has entrusted the lives of all of us to one another,” Pavone said. “Though a father or mother may forsake the child, that does not give us permission to do so. We claim these children as our brothers and sisters.”
