72-Year Old Woman Targeted in Likely 'Knockout Game' Attack

Earlier this week in Brooklyn, a 72-year old woman was “sucker punched” in another apparent “knockout game” incident.

According to the New York Daily News, Mira Harpazi was walking to the pharmacy when “a black man in his 20s” walked up to her “around noon” on November 25th and “socked her in the mouth.”

Police say the suspect said nothing to Harpazi, who is Jewish, nor did he attempt to rob her. Once again, the goal appeared to be to simply knock out an unwitting victim.

Harpazi was taken “to Brookdale hospital” and listed “in stable condition.”

Last week, a 78-year old woman “was hit in the back of the head” during a similar attack “while walking along E. 5th St. and Ave. L.”
