Speaking to Prince Charles in the Oval Office this afternoon, President Obama suggested that Americans like the British Royal Family more than our own political figures.
“I think it’s fair to say that the American people are quite fond of the royal family,” said Obama before adding lightly, “they like them much better than they like their own politicians.”
“I don’t believe that,” Prince Charles protested before changing the subject to his recent visit to Mount Vernon.
During the brief encounter with the press, Obama declined to answer a question from a reporters as to whether or not he had called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Thank you everybody,” he said.
