Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar & Grill” recently opened in Phoenix, Arizona’s City North with a sign on the door that reads, “No Firearms Allowed.”

This ban comes although it is legal in Arizona for law-abiding citizens with concealed permits to carry guns in businesses that serve alcohol–with the caveat that the concealed carrier not drink. But Keith’s bar and grill has simply said law-abiding citizens must disarm themselves before entering the store.

On December 27, 2013, Breitbart News reported that Keith’s “I Love This Bar & Grill” in Potomac Town Center in Woodbridge, Virginia, had a sign on its front door which read, “No Guns Permitted.”

ABC News reported that fan reaction to the sign in Potomac Town Center  was sharp and fast. One fan said, “Bottom line is that they do not respect the rights of law-abiding citizens to keep themselves safe. They do not trust them.”

Ironically, one of Toby Keith’s biggest country video hits is “Bullets in the Gun.” It romanticizes carrying a gun.
