Republican presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul is a confirmed speaker at the #WomenBetrayed rally in Washington, D.C. Tuesday at noon, according to Students for Life of America (SFLA), the pro-life millennial organization that is coordinating over 60 rallies across the nation that are calling for the investigation and defunding of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider.
Dr. Ben Carson, also a 2016 contender, will headline the rally on Capitol Hill. In addition to Carson, other speakers scheduled include Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Rep. Chris Smith, Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD), Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS), and other national pro-life leaders.
Most of the rallies across the country will be held at 12:00 noon local time in the cities located at the #WomenBetrayed website.
“We are very pleased to have two presidential candidates in attendance at today’s #WomenBetrayed rally in Washington, DC,” president of SFLA Kristan Hawkins tells Breitbart News. “There is no greater issue than that of protecting life, which Planned Parenthood ends for profit. The abortion giant needs to be immediately investigated and defunded, which is what we will be calling for at today’s rallies across the country.”
Planned Parenthood receives more than $500 million taxpayer dollars per year. Three undercover investigative videos have now been released showing the abortion industry giant’s involvement in the harvesting of aborted baby body parts for sale to biotech companies.
