On December 28, three armed intruders forced a mother to the back of her house then fled under a barrage of bullets as she opened fire on them.

The incident occurred around 6 a.m. in Trotwood, Ohio.

According to FOX 45, “Police say three males kicked in the back door of a home on Atlas Drive. They forced a woman who was doing laundry into a back room with two children. Two other children were asleep on a couch. The ages of the children range from 10 to 16 years old.” Once they got her into the back room, two of the intruders “tried to steal a safe in the home,” while the third kept his gun pointed at the woman and children.

The woman somehow managed to get to a gun she kept in the room, and she began firing at the intruders. She called 911 and said, “I got my gun and I started shooting and they ran!”

She told the 911 operator, “They all three had guns, I’m confused… they must not have had bullets because after I pulled the trigger they just took off, instead of firing back. I don’t know if I hit one or not, I don’t see blood anywhere.” But one of the alleged intruders—a 20-year-old male—was found dead in the neighbor’s yard.

Police identified the deceased suspect as Azikiwe Presley from the Dayton area.

Police describe the other two suspects as “black males… wearing dark clothing.”
