Bob DeMaura, the father of Steve DeMaura – who works as the Executive Director for the pro-Carly Fiorina super PAC – says a Bush volunteer misled him about the former HP executive’s status in the GOP presidential race.

The get-out-the-vote campaigner for Republican presidential candidate and former Florida governor Jeb Bush knocked on Mr. DeMaura’s door and asked who he was supporting for president, he told Breitbart News.

Noting his Carly Fiorina lawn sign, DeMaura says he told the Bush canvasser that he was supporting Fiorina for President.

“She said, ‘Oh that’s too bad because she’s dropping out of the race.’ I said, ‘What are you talking about,’” he added.

The Bush campaigner then allegedly proceeded to tell DeMaura that “she heard it on the news,” not knowing that he was connected to the super PAC that supports her.

“I would have heard it way before you since my son is executive director of CARLY for America,” DeMaura says he told the person who was pushing for his vote for Jeb. She then “scurried” off, he concluded.

When reached about the allegations, the Jeb Bush campaign told Breitbart News:

“This is not true. We have nothing but respect for Carly, have no idea why they would make an accusation like this.”

Tim Miller, the communications director for the Bush campaign, told Breitbart News that no one fit the description of the person described by the Fiorina campaign as a Bush canvasser.

“We had nobody in Peterborough who fit the description of this woman. So that would lend one to believe this was another campaign,” Miller said.

Bush has been in a death match with his fellow establishment Republican Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who are both aiming to consolidate their lane in the GOP. Bush’s campaign had no evidence to point at Rubio here.

Separately, the Fiorina super PAC has released a new ad slamming ABC for not including her in the New Hampshire debate Saturday night, despite recent polling indicating she is within the margin of error for second place in the state.

She told Breitbart Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon on Sirius/XM’s Breitbart News Daily show on Friday, “The fact that I’m not on that debate stage is proof positive that the game is rigged.”

“I’m at my best in a fight and it’s been a fight all along,” Fiorina said. “It’s why I’m running for President. It is time to take our country back. It is time to take our politics and our government back … Our country is being taken away from us by the establishment and the elite. This is proof positive we’ve got to get our government under control.”
