New York Times presidential campaign correspondent Maggie Haberman was on Breitbart News Daily today with host Stephen K. Bannon to discuss the volatile 2016 race.

Haberman notes that businessman Donald “Trump had an unbelievably resonant message” in New Hampshire on immigration and trade, allowing him to recapture his momentum coming out of Iowa.

She also pointed out that Trump outperformed the polls in New Hampshire. While noting Trump is due to begin taking a lot more fire from all sides in South Carolina, said Haberman, “I think he has become a much more skilled political figure. I think he’s grown as a candidate, there’s no question about that.”

Haberman said she thinks “Trump and Cruz are the two to watch in South Carolina,” while noting that Jeb Bush, John Kasich and Marco Rubio will be fighting it out to determine who will be the third person in the mix there.

She also said she thinks Cruz will more likely go after Trump on Obamacare, as opposed to immigration or trade, as it represents a clearer line of attack for him.
