Kellyanne Conway, pollster and president of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) aligned Super PAC “Keep the Promise,” said on Breitbart News Daily Friday that if the establishment pushes for a brokered convention for Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), “the grassroots will revolt.”

Conway adds: “You will no longer see the Republican Party as you know it if people get to Cleveland and somebody who failed to get a critical number of delegates as the nominee, through the regular electoral process, somehow is anointed by the grand poo-pahs.”

“He’s the last great hope of the establishment,” Conway said of Rubio. “You cannot invent enough moderate and liberal Republican votes, which Marco Rubio wins wealthy voters and moderate voters right now, you can’t invent enough of them between now and the end of the nomination process for Marco Rubio to reach critical mass.

Conway also said that she believes that Cruz should continue his election even if he loses Texas on Super Tuesday.

“He should soldier on through March 15th, but I don’t entertain that because I do think he’ll win Texas,” Conway told Breitbart News Daily host Stephen K. Bannon.

“He’s got in Texas what he had in Iowa, Steve,” Conway said. “When Ted Cruz has the conservative leadership of the state endorsing him and working for him, he had it in Iowa and he now has it in Texas with Rick Perry and Greg Abbott and a lot of state legislators then he wins.” Hear the interview:
