Reince Priebus: Hillary Clinton ‘Seems Incapable of Telling the Truth’

Orange Suit

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus reacted to the news that the FBI had discovered thousands of documents on Hillary Clinton’s email server, arguing that the news proved the Democratic presidential nominee was lying again.

“Hillary Clinton seems incapable of telling the truth,” said Priebus said in a statement. “Clinton’s pattern of serial dishonesty is completely unacceptable for a candidate seeking the nation’s highest office, and her refusal to tell the truth and own up to her poor judgment is a preview of how she would conduct herself if elected president.”

Priebus called for the federal government to release the emails to the public before the presidential election.

“The process for reviewing these emails needs to be expedited, public disclosure should begin before early voting starts, and the emails in question should be released in full before Election Day,” he added.

It is unclear whether the recovered emails would be released to the public and when.

A spokesperson for the State Department argued that they had not completed a through review of the documents, citing “ongoing litigation.”

“State has not yet had the opportunity to complete a review of the documents to determine whether they are agency records or if they are duplicative of documents State has already produced through the Freedom of Information Act,” State Department spokesperson Mark Toner said, according to the Washington Post. “We cannot comment further as this matter is in ongoing litigation.”
