White House adviser Jared Kushner’s brother reportedly gave $50,000 to the upcoming student march for gun control.

The event, called “March for Our Lives,” is scheduled to take place March 24.

Buzzfeed reports the march is geared toward securing more gun control in response to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting:

On February 20 Breitbart News reported that George and Amal Clooney donated $500,000 to the upcoming event. Their gift was matched by Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, and Jeffrey Katzenberg, each of whom donated $500,000 as well.

The Hill quotes an Axios report claiming Josh Kushner gave $50,000 to the gun control march.

An August 18, 2016, article quoted a spokesman who described Josh as a “lifelong Democrat” who would not be voting for Donald Trump in the November 2016 elections.

Josh gave no direct comment to magazine, but through his spokesman made clear that “he loved his brother and did not want to say anything that might embarrass him.”
