She served from the earliest days of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign as National Spokesperson, and now Katrina Pierson is returning for the 2020 campaign as a Senior Adviser in charge of grassroots outreach.

“As we build out our operations for the 2018 mid-term elections and the 2020 reelection campaign, we are pleased to welcome back two outstanding members of our 2016 team,” said Trump for President Campaign Manager Brad Parscale. “We need the help of proven leaders such as Katrina and John to promote the President’s growing portfolio of achievements across the country.”

Pierson joined the pro-Trump organization America First Policies after the 2016 campaign. In her new role on the 2020 campaign, Pierson will lead the campaign’s national grassroots outreach.

Americas First Policies tweeted congratulations to Pierson on her new role, “Congratulations to @KatrinaPierson on her new role as Senior Adviser for @realDonaldTrump’s 2020 presidential campaign! This is a WINNING team!”

The Tuesday announcement also named Trump campaign veteran and White House staffer John McEntee to the 2020 campaign.

“Katrina and John will play pivotal roles on our campaign once again as we develop a winning strategy through 2020 to Keep America Great,” said Trump for President Chief Operating Officer Michael Glassner. “They will also contribute tremendously to our national engagement in the mid-term elections this year. We’re delighted to have them back on the team.”

Pierson has been active in the tea party and politics, making a bid to replace Texas Rep. Pete Sessions in 2014. She became National Spokesperson for the 2016 Trump presidential campaign in November 2015. She joined America First Polices as a Spokesperson in January 2017.
