Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) is playing national dog-catcher. He released a quick video on Wednesday afternoon, asking the general public to help two of his staffers find their errant pooch.

Booker posted the plea Wednesday afternoon on landing in Atlanta for the Democratic National Convention’s African American Leadership Council Summit.

“Hey team, it’s Cory. I just landed here in Atlanta. I’m really psyched to be back, but I’m really just putting a call out there to all who can help,” Booker said in the video.

“Two of our team members have lost their dog– an incredible, beautiful dog named Gumbo,” he said before holding up an image of the black and white runaway. He reportedly went missing May 26.

“Gumbo is beautiful,” Booker said. “It’s a black and white pit bull-boxer mix.”

He implored everyone in the area to keep an eye out and encouraged viewers to send any helpful information to an email account dedicated to Gumbo– FindGumbo@gmail.com.

“We are really all caring very much about getting this dog back to a member of the family and– just really worried about that,” Booker said.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), one of Booker’s 2020 competitors, is also spreading the word.

There were no available updates on Gumbo’s location as of Thursday morning.
