John Bolton: Hillary Clinton ‘Demonstrated an Utter Lack of Regard for Classified Information’ and ‘Disdain for National Security’

Former UN Ambassador John Bolton talked to Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Thursday about Wednesday night’s Commander-in-Chief Forum on NBC.

Clinton’s answer to the question on classified information in emails “was … intellectually dishonest,” said Bolton. “I don’t even know where to begin to answer it. … She demonstrated an utter lack of regard for classified information, and some of the things in the FBI report that they dumped out last Friday right before Labor Day weekend, I think, are just flat out lies.” He added, “It shows her disdain for national security as a real priority.”

Bolton also said:

I thought Clinton demonstrated real vulnerability not just on the email point, although we could spend a lot of time on that. Basically, her entire argument on national security is, “I’ve been around the administration; it’s on my resume. Therefore, I’m qualified.” In fact, she did nothing to distinguish herself from Barack Obama, I think implicitly proving the point that she’s going to be Obama’s third term on national security, which I think would be a disaster.

“Also, with respect to Trump,” added Bolton, “following on to the speech he had made earlier in the day, he emphasized what he has said repeatedly, which is that he would rebuild America’s military from the depredations of seven-and-a-half years of the Obama administration.” Elaborating, he asserted:

I think that’s a central point. He said very courageously he would find ways to make up for the significant increase in the defense expenditures by cutting wasteful government programs. I think that’s what we’re going to have to do. He said it very clearly. If he wins, he will have a clear mandate to do it.
