Arizona's Ian Kennedy Under Fire for Headhunting

Arizona pitcher Ian Kennedy will likely get suspended and is under fire for throwing at the heads of Los Angeles Dodgers players Yasiel Puig and Zack Greinke on Tuesday.

Kennedy hit Puig in the nose and hit Greinke between the shoulder and the head with the type of dangerous pitch that could end someone’s career.

When Greinke retaliated for Kennedy’s hitting Puig in the top of the 7th inning, Greinke, unlike Kennedy, hit Arizona’s Miguel Montero in the back, which is the proper way to hit a player.

Kennedy, with his dirty retaliation pitch, will likely face suspension in addition to losing some respect from his fellow players. Dodger players and coaches were none too happy with Kennedy as the benches cleared after Kennedy hit Greinke.

The Dodgers ultimately won the game 5-3.
