A member of the Lynchburg, Virginia school board resigned from her post after a profanity-laden rant on Facebook in which she called Trump voters “selfish fearful morons.”
An article from The Roanoke Times detailed school board member Jenny Poore’s explosive meltdown that took place over Donald Trump’s victory in the recent presidential election. In her Facebook rant, Poore claimed that America is a country of “selfish fearful morons” and that Trump’s America will be a “straight white man version of America.”
“F— you and your s—– straight white man version of America,” Poore wrote.
Despite Poore’s lack of professionalism, her colleagues on the Lynchburg school board praised her efforts as an advocate for young people in Lynchburg county.
Board Chairman Michael Nilles wrote in a statement that Poore was a “sincere and committed advocate” for the Lynchburg County school district, and he “appreciate[d] her desire to do what is best for the division.”
Poore claimed she was not asked to step down but decided to resign herself.
