Jeremy Bird, the man who has been called Barack Obama’s “secret weapon” and the leader of Battleground Texas went on a mini-rant on Twitter on Tuesday February 18, attacking Texas gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott for campaigning with Ted Nugent over the rocker’s statements. They included:

And the list goes on … The real question is what kind of judgement does it show to campaign w this guy?
Jeremy Bird is one of the key figures in the Obama/Hillary Clinton campaign brain trust. As his bio at 270 Strategies says:
Jeremy Bird is a founding partner at 270 Strategies. His contributions to the Obama organizing model led Rolling Stone magazine to recognize him on its 2012 “Hot List,” calling him “the Obama campaign’s secret weapon.”
Bird and 270 Strategies are running the 2016 advance operation for Hillary Clinton and he is also the key person behind ‘turning Texas blue’ through Battleground Texas, as he demonstrated with an appearance on The Colbert Report. Bird is also leading the drive to remove Texas Voter ID laws as the head of iVote.
Part of the Bird strategy for Obama and Clinton is attacking Republicans for fighting a “war on women.” The Nugent Narrative is part of that.
LANGUAGE WARNING: CLINTON AND OBAMA SUPPORTERS UNCENSORED STATEMENTS & BEHAVIOR
On one hand, two wrongs don’t make a right. It’s valid to criticize Nugent for such language, which many–especially values based conservatives–would justly find offensive.
On the other hand, for Bird to lob criticisms at Abbott for campaigning with Nugent over his apparent sins against feminism is the very definition of hypocrisy. The finger wagging and lectures from Bird and his liberal ilk must be put into context.
Bird gives a complete pass on celebrity supporters and their language. Hillary/Obama supporter Alec Baldwin famously called his own 11 year-old daughter a “pig,” as reported by The Daily Mail:
You are a rude, thoughtless little pig. You don’t have the brains or the decency as a human being. I don’t give a damn that you’re 12 years old, or 11 years old, or that you’re a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesn’t care about what you do as far as I’m concerned.
Rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z’s ties to President Obama are so well known that MTV called it a “bromance” and wrote a long, extensive timeline that included:
February 2010: The rapper, who referenced Obama in the lyrics to Young Jeezy’s “My President,” reveals that he’s been invited to the White House a number of times and one time when he called The Blueprint was playing in the background while Obama worked out.
March 2010: Jay and Bey visit the White House, with a VIP tour that includes a peek at the Situation Room.
While much of country faces problems from the Obama economy and while the world faces problems in the wake of Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy, Obama’s friend Jay-Z has pointed out that he personally has one thing that is not a problem:
If you’re having girl problems I feel bad for you, son, I’ve got 99 problems, but a bitch ain’t one.
Another feminist anthem by Jay-Z is his hit Big Pimpin’. Here Jigga (his fan’s nickname for him) talks about woman thusly:
You know I – thug em, fuck em, love em, leave em
Cause I don’t fuckin need em.
Take em out the hood, keep em lookin good
But I don’t fuckin feed em.
Does Jay use the B-Word that offended Jeremy Bird’s delicate Chicago sensabilities in Big Pimpin’? Of course he does. See here:

Indeed, these are lyrics that make one nostalgic for the comparative subtlety of Cat Scratch Fever. But let’s leave celebrities aside.
Jeremy Bird has no problem with supporting Hillary Clinton or campaigning with former President Bill Clinton, after both Clintons set out on a public campaign to destroy Monica Lewinsky–the intern that feminist icon Bill Clinton used as a cigar holder in the White House.
While Rand Paul has pointed out Bill Clinton’s horrific behavior many times, Jeremy Bird would do well to read an article by the late liberal feminist journalist Marjorie Williams, who wrote of Clinton in Vanity Fair:
The man in question has been sued for sexual harassment over an episode that allegedly included dropping his trousers to waggle his erect penis at a woman who held a $6.35-an-hour clerical job in the state government over which he presided. Another woman has charged that when she asked him for a job he invited her into his private office, fondled her breasts, and placed her hand on his crotch. A third woman confided to friends that when she was a 21-year-old intern she began an affair with the man–much older, married, and the head of the organization whose lowliest employee she was. Actually, it was less an affair than a service contract, in which she allegedly dashed into his office, when summoned, to perform oral sex on him. After their liaison was revealed, he denied everything, leaving her to be portrayed as a tramp and a liar. Or, in his own words, “that woman.”
Let us not even mention the former lover who was steered to a state job; or the law-enforcement officers who say the man used them to solicit sexual partners for him; or his routine use of staff members, lawyers, and private investigators to tar the reputation of any woman who tries to call him to account for his actions.
Bill and Hillary Clinton lowered the bar for other noted Democratic misogynists like Anthony Weiner and John Edwards. When it comes to Bill Clinton, it’s appropriate to ask Jeremy Bird “what kind of judgement does it show to campaign with this guy?”
