The San Antonio Police Department headquarters was hit by gunfire on Saturday night. A man was seen running from the building after multiple bullets hit the building. Officers got the call around 10 p.m.

No one was injured but bullet marks on the exterior of the building, and shell casings outside the building were discovered. Multiple police investigators were in the building at the time.

“We are not going to be targets. We are not going to allow our officers to be targets. This is not open season on police officers here in San Antonio or anywhere else,” San Antonio Police Chief William McManus told KENS5.

A man was detained but was reported not to be a suspect. Police were looking for a man wearing blue pants and an orange shirt who was seen running away from the police building. A suspicious car was checked by the San Antonio PD bomb squad but was found to be clear of explosives or dangerous hazards.

The shots at the San Antonio police headquarters came just two nights after the execution of five Dallas police officers on Thursday night. As reported by Breitbart Texas, the Dallas PD and DART police officers were killed by a sniper. Six others were wounded. Breitbart Texas reported that the suspect was a member of the Houston New Black Panther Party.

In Dallas on Saturday night, the Dallas PD SWAT team was deployed to the downtown police headquarters after a “credible threat” was received, as reported by Breitbart Texas. A suspicious person had been reported in the Dallas PD garage but the investigation was stopped after the department failed to find a suspect. There had been reports that armed individuals from Houston where planning to attack the headquarters.

In Houston on Saturday, tensions were high after Houston police officers had to shoot an armed black man who pointed a gun at them. Alva Braziel died at the scene in Houston around 12:30 Saturday morning after officers fired what was reported as numerous shots at the man.

On Friday, Breitbart Texas’ Bob Price reported that police officers in three different states have been ambushed around the time-frame of the Dallas police shootings. Officers were shot in what authorities described as “ambushes” in Missouri, Tennessee and Georgia Friday.
