Embattled Dem Rep Refuses to Resign Before Debt Vote

The embattled Congressman David Wu, Oregon Democrat, announced via a statement from his office on Tuesday he would resign from Congress after the debt ceiling crisis was resolved. Mr. Wu is accused by a daughter of a long time donor for making un-wanted sexual advances towards her.

The Washington Times approached Mr. Wu on Wednesday and asked why he simply does not resign immediately before the debt ceiling vote if the wellbeing of his children “must come before anything else.”
