Hillary: I 'Couldn't Predict' a Group Named 'Islamic State of Iraq and Syria' Would Advance into Iraq

Thursday at the Council on Foreign Relations, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said during her tenure though she understood Syria was a larger regional “wicked” problem, she could not have predicted an al Qaeda splinter group named the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) would attempt to take over Iraq to form a new Islamic state.
