On CNN’s “New Day” on Thursday, National Journal’s Ron Fournier reacted to Vice President Joe Biden’s comments he made on Wednesday that the change then-candidate Barack Obama promised in 2008 “didn’t happen.” Fournier explained to host John King it illustrated a failed promise of the Obama presidency.
“There must be a clip after where he says, ‘I’m just kidding,’” Fournier said. “He basically conceded the original sin of the Obama presidency, which is we promised to at least start changing Washington and we failed. Then later on what he does say there is we can change things if we’re the drivers of the change. Well, who has been driving the last five years? It was a really bad moment for the White House.”
