On Wednesday’s “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central, Fox News Channel’s “The O’Reilly Factor” host Bill O’Reilly made an appearance to promote his latest book, “Killing Patton.”
In that appearance, “Daily Show” host Jon Stewart urged O’Reilly to defend comments he made earlier this year dismissing the existence of so-called “white privilege” in America. According to O’Reilly, if you were to acknowledge the presence of “white privilege,” then you would have to acknowledge “Asian privilege” as well.
Stewart, however, said that argument didn’t apply because the black experience in America was much different than the Asian experience, and it was the black experience according to Stewart that puts the African-American community at a disadvantage.
O’Reilly claimed Stewart’s argument was dated, and the back-and-forth ended with two ultimately appearing to agree to disagree.
