NBC’s Todd: Obama’s Nuclear Deal Lets Iran ‘Flex Muscle and Get Stronger’

Friday on MSNBC “The Rundown with José Díaz-Balart,” while discussing the Obama administrations nuclear program negotiations with Iran, Chuck Todd said the deal now being leaked in various media outlets would give Iran “more opportunity to flex muscle and get stronger and more powerful.”

Todd said, “The administration will argue, it’s better to have Iran inside the tent than outside the tent, ability to check them a little bit more, ability to do these things, but at the same time, this nuclear deal is going to come right at a time where Iran is expanding its spheres and influence. Some argue Iran is overextended and that they can’t keep this up forever. They’re overextended with Syria, Hezbollah, now throw in Yemen, never mind what they’re trying to do in Iraq, they can’t actually do everything they’re trying to do, but, boy, the nuclear deal only — only gives them more opportunity to flex muscle and to get stronger and more powerful.”
