Assistant Senate Minority Leader Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) argued that while he doesn’t “understand” the motive behind Democratic presidential candidate former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton having a private email server, he doesn’t believe she was “trying to conceal things” on Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
Durbin stated that separating personal and official email is “the same mess members of Congress face.” He later added, “I don’t believe she had a motive of trying to conceal things.”
After co-host Mika Brzezinski said, “I don’t know what the motive of having a server in the basement is.” Durbin responded, “I don’t understand that either. She’ll be asked that plenty on Thursday.”
