Monday during MSNBC’s special Iowa caucus coverage on “Morning Joe,” host Joe Scarborough said if the Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton loses in Iowa and New Hampshire, the race will not be about her rival Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), but instead it will become about a potential new candidate coming in.
Scarborough said, “All losses are not created equal. You would much rather be Donald Trump losing tonight than Hillary Clinton.”
He added, “Listen if she loses Iowa, New Hampshire and loses New Hampshire big, it’s not about beating Bernie Sanders, it starts beating Joe Biden, starts being about John Kerry, starts being about Al Gore.”
