Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” when asked if she will release the transcripts of her speeches to Wall Street firms, Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton said a more important standard that has “been in place for decades” was candidates releasing tax returns, which she said her potential rival Republican front-runner Donald Trump has not done.
Clinton said, “I know others, including Mr. Trump, have made speeches. Look at where we are, I put out 33 years of tax returns…Let’s talk about apples and apples. I know that Donald Trump has not put out any of his. Let’s deal with the standard that’s been in place for decades before we move on to the new standards imposed on me and nobody else. So lets get tax returns out. Let’s get Donald Trump’s tax returns out and the transcripts of his speeches. Because I am told he made a whole lot more money than I have.”
