MSNBC Guest Theorizes FL Shooter’s Potential Outing Caused Violence

Wednesday on MSNBC while discussing the theory that the Florida shooter, who attacked an LGBT club in Orlando, FL, was homosexual, Professor Mia Bloom of Georgia State University said this behavior is explainable because the “theory of concealment in psychology'” is when “the guy beating up the gay kids turns out to be gay.”

The professor then theorized, “When it turns verbal to being physical is when they’re about to be outed. We don’t know in the weeks lead leading up to this attack if maybe he felt people were about to discover his real identity.”

Bloom said, “In the theory of psychology, there is something called concealment. There has been a lot of discussion about his own sexuality and in fact, his ex-wife just recently gave an interview to Don Lemon on CNN that she thought he was gay. The question then becomes how does this make sense that someone that might think they’re gay turns around and kills 49 gay people?”

“The theory of concealment in psychology explains why. A lot of theory in bullying in every TV movie or film or even on ‘Glee,’ the guy beating up the gay kids turns out to be gay and a lot of this is passing behavior,” Bloom continued. “When it turns verbal to being physical is when they’re about to be outed. We don’t know in the weeks  leading up to this attack if maybe he felt people were about to discover his real identity. There’s a lot of questions that remain to answer.”
