Sessions: ‘Too Much Has Been Made’ of Trump’s PA Cheating Comment

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) discussed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s comments on Friday, in which he said that only cheating can prevent him from winning Pennsylvania.

When asked if he thinks there could be cheating, Sessions said, “There’s cheating in every election. And every party goes out in advance of the election and they call on poll watchers and those kind of things to make sure they’re not cheated out of an election. That just really helps create integrity in the system.”

He added, “I think too much has been made out of that comment. I think he what he was saying is he believes it’s going to be a very close election. He believes he’s going to win Pennsylvania.”
