During an interview set to air on Saturday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Smerconish,” a portion of which was aired on Friday’s “CNN Tonight,” Vice President Joe Biden stated that he believes the FBI should release the emails that it says prompted them to take a look into Democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s email conduct and that he’s “not a big fan” of former Representative Anthony Weiner (D-NY).
Biden stated that the FBI should release the emails so everyone can see them, and lamented the “stilted language the agency always uses, and it doesn’t mean anything. And so, it’s unfortunate.”
Biden did concede that if Clinton had released all her emails from the start, this conversation wouldn’t be happening.
When anchor Michael Smerconish pointed out that the emails came from Anthony Weiner, Biden said, “Well — oh God. Anthony Weiner, I should not comment on Anthony Weiner. I’m not a big fan, and I wasn’t before he got in trouble. So, I shouldn’t comment on Anthony Weiner.”
