Obama's Own Doctor Says ObamaCare 'Will Be a Setback'
In a world full of academicians who’ve turned to politics as an outlet for their passions, there’s always a danger that ordinary, everyday people will be sacrificed on the altar of progress, whether they like it or not. And while such “academic detachment” is often only on visible behind closed doors, President Obama’s physician claims ObamaCare has placed a spotlight on the fact that our Harvard-graduate-with-no-paper-trail-turned-president is thoroughly detached from reality and from the American people as well.
In Edward Klein’s new book, “The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House,” Dr. David Scheiner expresses his concern that ObamaCare is going to do far more harm than good.
In Scheiner’s opinion, Obama’s ideological mindset and an inability to understand things as they truly are has been demonstrated via the “carelessness with which [Obama] enacted the entirely politicized health insurance reform.” Said Scheiner: “I think there is too much of the University of Chicago in him. By which I mean he’s academic, lacks passion and feeling, and doesn’t have the sense of humanity that I expected.”
Quick side-note: All true ideologues lack passion, feeling, and humanity. That’s how they’re able to sacrifice the people in the name of saving the people.
Scheiner also says he fears that Obama’s economic calculations are way off regarding the expenses associated with the healthcare overhaul: “The [Congressional Budget Office] said [Obamacare’s] going to be incredibly expensive… and the thing that I’m incredibly worried about is, if it is [the] failure that I think it will be, then health reform will be set back a long, long time.”
No wonder the late Russell Kirk warned us of the dangers posed by ideologues.
