After militant atheists succeeded in shutting down Santa Monica’s traditional park displays of Nativity scenes during Christmas season, the Nativity scenes will be relocated to private property.
The Nativity scenes were originally located in Palisades Park, but they were removed after atheists insisted on a lottery system to determine which groups could put up displays, then stacked the lottery system to include a raft of atheism displays, just in time for Christmas. The Santa Monica City Council eventually decided to end the lottery altogether, shutting the park to Nativity scenes.
