Jindal: Obama Scandals Caused by Big Government

On Saturday, Louisiana’s Republican Governor Bobby Jindal directly tied President Barack Obama’s trifecta of scandals (IRS, AP, and Benghazi) to big-government liberalism.

Speaking at the Virginia Republican Party convention, Jindal took a strategic and bigger picture approach in reminding Virginians that the federal government’s targeting of conservatives in the IRS scandal, seizing the phone records of AP reporters, and bungling of the Benghazi terror attacks were a result of a federal government that has grown too large.

“This president has grown the size, the scope, the debt, and the power of the federal government to such irresponsible proportions… that this is the inevitable result,” Jindal said in his remarks

Jindal, a potential 2016 contender, has been addressing Republicans outside of his home state in recent weeks. He spoke last week in New Hampshire.
