NYT: Insiders See Weiner as Path to Future Hillary Presidential Campaign
According to the New York Times, "several political aides have been tempted to sign onto a Weiner mayoral campaign" because of the "ample access the job would provide" to his wife Huma Abedin.
Now that disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner has formally launched his mayoral bid, political operatives may consider working for his campaign just so they can get close to his wife. Abedin, the Clinton loyalist, is seen as a gateway to jobs on a potential Hillary Clinton 2016 presidential campaign.
In fact, Danny Kadem, Weiner's current campaign manager, was hired because Abedin trusted him after working with him on Clinton's failed 2008 campaign.
Abedin is often referred to as Bill and Hillary Clinton's "surrogate daughter."
