FLOTUS: Amnesty President Obama's 'Top' Priority

On Wednesday, First Lady Michelle Obama repeated what her husband has said many times – amnesty legislation is his top legislative priority.

“Today, here in Washington, folks are still debating whether or not to fix our immigration system, even though just about everyone agrees that it is broken,” she said at a naturalization ceremony. “I want you all to know that my husband has made this his top legislative priority because, at the end of the day, this fight isn’t just about principles; it’s about real people.”

Last year, President Barack Obama emphasized that amnesty legislation was his top legislative priority, and he also expressed considerable regret that he could not accomplish his top goal. Administration officials like Homeland Security Security Jeh Johnson have also indicated many times that amnesty legislation is Obama’s top priority even as illegal immigrant children continue to flood across the U.S.-Mexico border.
