Bill Kristol: Give People a Chance to Read the Bill
Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol also jabbed at the “Gang of Eight” immigration bill process, as well as the new rush to pass the repackaged bill with the amendment from Sens. Bob Corker (R-TN) and John Hoeven (R-ND), on Fox News Sunday.
Kristol expressed distrust in “the way this bill is being managed” adding that he thinks “there’s no urgency [to pass a comprehensive bill].”
“Can we at least let people read it for a week?” Kristol asked jokingly.
“It is not the right way to run a railroad,” Kristol said, adding that this “is not the right way to run Congress.”
Kristol has criticized the bill before, and has publicly called on Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) to leave the "Gang of Eight."
