A demonstrator leading a protest against the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the killing of Trayvon Martin on Monday wore a t-shirt emblazoned with antisemitic language, as seen in a news broadcast by KTLA-5 of Los Angeles, and featured at the Los Angeles Times, neither of which noted or noticed the offensive slogan.
The t-shirt, visible for roughly 5 seconds in the video below (1:02 to 1:07), reads: “YOU ASHKENAZI CRAFTED DEVIL.” Ashkenazis are Jews of Eastern European origin.
Most American Jews are Ashkenazis.
