Walsh: Obama Models Mandela; 'Turns Other Cheek' Too Much
MSNBC analyst Joan Walsh compared Barack Obama to the late Nelson Mandela and has tried to "model reconciliation" after the late Nelson Mandela.
"I think this president has tried, against odds, to model reconciliation and has turned the other cheek too many times for some of our progressive allies," Walsh said. "You do see in his somberness and sadness there, the sense that he drew a lot of courage and lessons from Nelson Mandela."
MSNBC host Ed Schultz had asked Walsh to reflect on Mandela's influence on President Barack Obama after speculating that Obama has projected hope like Mandela.
