Kobe May Retire After Next Season
When Kobe Bryant’s contract with the Lakers expires at the end of the 2013-14 season, he may walk away from the the game he loves.

When asked on Sunday if next season could be his last in the NBA, Bryant said, at this time, that it could.

“As I sit here right now, yeah,” Bryant told NBA.com.

When asked if there was “anything the Lakers can say that would make it more likely you played beyond next season,” Bryant said, “No.”

“It’s my decision. It’s really about what I want to do, if I want to train and be psychotic with my training,” Bryant said. “That’s what it comes down to. It’s really how I’m feeling physically.”

Bryant has made it a goal of his to win at least six NBA titles like Michael Jordan. Bryant has won five, and many believe his competitive drive will keep him in the game past next year if the Lakers do not win the title this year or next.
