Obama 'Hopelessly Optimistic' That Fiscal Cliff Deal Will Be Reached
President Obama gave a short press conference today announcing that he was going home for Christmas but would be back next week in the hopes that a deal could be negotiated with House Republicans to avert the "fiscal cliff." The President said that there are many things he and the Republicans agree on and that "the dollar amounts" of each plan "are close."
