Frank Gaffney's Secure Freedom Minute: The Mullahs' Deal

Yesterday, the Obama administration eased sanctions on Iran in exchange for a symbolic pause in parts of the mullahs’ nuclear weapons program. Covert facilities around the country have not slowed their operations, let alone stopped them.

Even those facilities the Iranians actually declared and opened to international inspection have not been appreciably impacted by the new deal. The regime estimates that it would take just days to reverse the interim agreement’s effects on its nuclear program.

What Iran gains from the deal will be very hard to undo, however. Sanctions have not just been eased, they are unraveling – with $7 billion turned over to Tehran up front and much more in prospect. Worse, the region knows the Iranians will get the bomb, and more nations will do the same.
