Ted Cruz Resists Calls to Criticize Republican Colleagues

Tuesday after CNN’s town hall presentation with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, “OutFront” host Erin Burnett had Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on to offer his reaction.

After talking briefly about the former secretary of state’s answers to questions about the administrations missteps in Benghazi and Iraq Burnett turned to subject to domestic politics, declaring Cruz as the leader of the Tea Party.

Burnett played two clips, first of Rep. Peter King (R-NY) attacking Cruz last week, then the CNN host asked, “What do you say when he calls you a fraud?”

Cruz opted to not respond.

Burnett moved on to other Republican legislators critical of Cruz that she said accused Cruz of “hurting the party” and “hurting the country.” She played a nine-month old clip of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) discussing his frustration with Cruz’s ObamaCare filibuster from last September.
