Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Dems Will Hold The Senate

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos,” Democratic National Committee chairwoman Rep/ Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) said Democrats will hold control of the Senate after the midterm election.

Wasserman Schultz said, “I think we’re going to hold control the Senate. I know he would take ours over theirs every day of the week. and we have the early votes in the most competitive weeks and districts. We have focused on making sure that we bring our number us up for voters who didn’t cast ballots in 2010 but voted for the president in 2008 and 2012. I’ll tell you what’s going on in Florida, I have been here for several days. I have seen really the most enthusiasm and the best organized ground game I’ve seen in a midterm in Florida. that’s why Rick Scott is going to go down to defeat on Tuesday. The first Democratic governor in the 21st century.”

When asked about Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-KY) recent comments that the Republican Party’s brand “sucks,” the Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, also a guest on “This Week,” said, “Rand Paul is saying what I’ve been saying, which is we have spent way too long as a national party showing up at the end, and we’ve got to do better.”
