Moms Demand Action Chapter Kicked Out of Michigan Kroger Parking Lot

On September 17, a Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America chapter in Lansing, Michigan, was protesting Kroger’s gun policy in a Lansing Kroger store parking lot when they were asked to leave.

Their goal was to pressure the store into changing its gun policy to run counter to Michigan’s open carry law.

According to the Lansing State Journal, the group was later “invited inside to speak with store management,” but store management said their company was “not expected to change its policy.” “Michigan Kroger representatives” concurred that such a change “is not likely.”

Linda Brundage, head of the mid-Michigan Moms Demand Action Chapter, said, “You don’t need a gun to buy a box of cereal.”

It should be noted that “you don’t need a gun” to park a car, either. But on September 8, Breitbart News reported that a man in an Indianapolis Kroger parking lot was accosted by an armed man in an apparent carjacking attempt. Fortunately, the citizen was armed and was able to defend his life. When police arrived, the attacker was dead, but the law-abiding citizen was not. A gun ban reverses this outcome.
