Marco Rubio’s national press secretary worked for Fox News host Dana Perino.

The relationship between Rubio messaging chief Brooke Sammon and Perino further illustrates the close ties between the Rubio campaign and the Fox News network.

Perino mentioned Sammon in her 2015 book, “And The Good News Is…Lessons and Advice From The Bright Side.”

“During the week if I see something of interest, I e-mail the article to myself and then print the articles to read over the weekend. Brooke Sammon, a young woman who worked for me for a while, used to put my folder together. When she moved on, she started her own weekend reading packet and now she’s regarded as the best-read person in her office,” Perino wrote.

Sammon’s LinkedIn page lists her work as a “Public Relations Associate” for Dana Perino & Company from October 2009 to November 2010.

Breitbart News reported this week that Brooke Sammon is the daughter of Fox News vice president and Washington managing editor Bill Sammon.

Perino, who served as White House Press Secretary during the waning days of the George W. Bush administration, recently mocked Rubio’s opponent Ted Cruz for running against “the establishment.” Perino referred to Cruz supporters as his “little base.”
