A Georgia high school teacher who compared President Trump’s campaign slogan “Make America Great Again” to a swastika has been stripped of her teaching duties.

Cherokee County School District Superintendent Brian Hightower sent a letter to parents announcing Lyn Orletsky’s removal from the classroom.

“Ms. Orletsky no longer is your child’s math teacher, effective immediately,” read the letter, which was obtained by Woodstock Patch. “We have assigned a substitute teacher and are searching for a knowledgeable and experienced educator to teach these classes for the rest of the school year.”

Orletsky, who taught at River Ridge High School in Woodstock for five years, was caught on camera kicking two of her students out of the classroom for wearing shirts bearing Trump’s signature slogan.

“Just like you cannot wear a swastika to school, you cannot wear ‘Make America Great Again’ like that,” the teacher told the students.

The student who filmed the video shared it with conservative student group Turning Point USA, which in turn, posted the video on its website.

Once Turning Point USA shared the video, it went viral, racking up nearly two million views on Facebook and thousands of shares across Facebook and Twitter.

A spokeswoman for the Cherokee County School District denounced her comments and parents flooded ratemyteacher.com with negative reviews for Ms. Orletsky following the video’s release.
